Good news from Israel: Prime Minister Ariel Sharon of Israel said today that he had given an order to plan for the removal of all 17 Jewish settlements from the Gaza Strip, causing consternation among settlers and politicians... Mr. Sharon said he would present his plan to President Bush during a visit to Washington later this month, the prime minister told Haaretz, saying it needed American support and financing. He said he had not yet discussed it with the Bush administration. Let's hope he follows through.
